The property is in the former Haworth School and has been renovated sympathetically to offer the very best in modern home-from-home comforts combined with period charm. With the luxury of gas fired under floor heating throughout, Bronte Square has been fitted with ‘Smarthome’ technology to allow the creation of different lighting moods with the touch of a button. Each light and airy bedroom has a double bed, bedside cabinet, reading lamp and generous storage. The house bathroom has been fitted with a free-standing power shower, bath, WC and sink with a shaver socket.

On the ground floor of the property is the spacious lounge with comfortable leather sofas – ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring and a state-of-the-art surround sound I-Pod docking system. A TV, CD and MP3 offer guests the best in modern technology. The open plan kitchen/dining area is well equipped with crockery, cutlery, utensils and cook wear if you decide to stay in to eat. A handy utility room kitted out with a washer/dryer, ironing equipment and clothes airing rack is also included plus a downstairs cloaks/shower room.

Haworth is steeped in history; home to the famous Bronte family; Charlotte, Emily and Anne grew up in the Parsonage which is now the Bronte Parsonage Museum. Packed full of exhibits telling the story of Brontes, the Parsonage Museum is well worth a visit. Close to Haworth is the Worth Valley Steam Railway, one of the best preserved steam railways in the UK and is instantly recognisable from the film ‘The Railway Children’.

Haworth is surrounded by beautiful moorland scenery which was the inspiration for many of the Bronte sister’s novels. Criss-crossed by many way marked paths and walking routes, Haworth’s moors are perfect for exploring by experienced hill walkers and novices alike.

If you’d like to go a little further afield, Haworth makes a great base for exploring the delights of Yorkshire. Leeds, with its excellent shopping and museums is within easy reach as is Bradford, home to the National Film and Photography Museum and the Alhambra theatre. Halifax, Huddersfield and Holmfirth are close by and have numerous tourist attractions. Holmfirth is famous for being home to ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ whilst Halifax boasts the interesting Piece Hall and Dean Clough Art Gallery.

Skipton, known as the ‘Gateway to the Dales’ makes a great day out and is well worth a visit for its medieval castle, market and interesting shops. The Yorkshire Dales National Park has some of the most spectacular scenery in England and on the edge of the National Park is the beautiful Bolton Abbey Estate, Yorkshire seat of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire.
